8 Conformed Details of Gta 6 | Bloomberg Report By Reputable Journalist JasonSchrader.

It's nuts to think that we're coming up to GTA 5's ninth birthday . The game seems eternal but Grand Theft Auto 6 is coming. Which was finally confirmed earlier this year by Rockstar and take two and even more tantalizing. The most reliable GTA 6 information yet was recently unveiled in a Bloomberg report by reputable journalist Jason Schrader.

So, with all that in mind this is GTA 6's

8 confirmed details you need to know

8). The Original Pitch Was Too Ambitious

One of the more intriguing things about the development of GTA 6 is just how long Rockstar has been working on it. Bloomberg's report confirmed that it has been in production on and off since 2014 and unsurprisingly plans for features and mechanics have changed in that time.

One major revision from the original pitch has been to scale back the scope of the game's map. Though axios game journalist Stephen Tottillo via euro gamer revealed that initially the sequel was set to go bigger than ever.

Featuring four playable characters and a story that would take fans across three different American cities. This was also hinted at in the Bloomberg report as well which detailed that the original vision for the game had it featuring a map comprised of quote unquote large swaths of north and South America.

This also corroborates the 2018 inside gaming report which leaked that South America itself would be an explorable area in the title. Now while all of that does sound a tantalizing and the kind of ambition that would justify a decade of development time.

Rockstar has understandably since scaled things back to focus on just one city and that makes sense. I mean creating just one of its intricately detailed sandboxes takes years of hard work and three would have only resulted in an even longer wait for GTA 6.

7). More Interior Levels Than Ever

The star of each GTA game has always been the setting and according to the Bloomberg report Rockstar is attempting to go bigger with the next game by actually going denser. Unlike previous entries the sixth installment is apparently set to feature way more interior levels in the city environment.

While big sandboxes are impressive for my money. Over the past few releases GTA 5 of course featured plenty of interior locations primarily shops that you could hold up as well as mission specific areas. The same is true for Red Dead Redemption 2 which had plenty of towns and shacks out in the wilderness that you could find and explore essentially. More interiors means more opportunity for greater mission variety and more memorable level design and that can only be a good thing.

6). Every Rockstar Team Is Working On It

Now onto something confirmed by Rockstar themselves and parent company take 2. Grand Theft Auto 6 is in full production and it's pretty much all hands on deck from every studio. In the Rockstar family though Rockstar north usually takes the reins on this franchise.

The company's games have become so ambitious that recently they've required the resources of more than one studio. Red Dead Redemption 2 for instance was worked on by every Rockstar studio and GTA 6 looks to be no different.

Recently the company confirmed that support for Red Dead Redemption online was being all but stopped in order for the developers to migrate to working on GTA 6. There were also rumors that remasters and remakes of GTA 4 and Red Dead Redemption 1 were both put on the back burner because people were working again on Grand Theft Auto 6.

Consequently don't expect any other game announcements from Rockstar any time soon as while there may be small teams planning of the titles. The bulk of all the company studios are currently collaborating on this beast of a project.

5). The Jokes Will be More Tasteful

One of the main talking points in the Bloomberg report surrounds Rockstar's internal work mentality becoming more progressive and less exclusionary. And that is apparently an approach.

That is making its way over to the content found in GTA 6. Rockstar's franchise has always been a loud crass attempt to satirize American life and pop culture famous for its cheap gags like transforming a computer's mouse cursor to resemble a hand flipping you off or allowing you to choose an audio clip of s*x moans as your mobile phone ringtone.

Which I definitely did not do when I was 14. Unsurprisingly though this south park-esque approach has seen a major releases. Caught controversy for other kinds of jokes that play up to harmful stereotypes as such the Bloomberg report says that quote developers are also being cautious not to punch down by making jokes about marginalized groups in contrast to previous games and quote.

GTA 6 will no doubt still wear the franchise's irreverent humor on its sleeve. It's difficult to see that going away but in a positive move we'll hopefully avoid any lazy low-hanging gags that come at the expense of marginalized communities.

4). Two Playable Characters (And The First Female Protagonist)

Now I previously mentioned that the scale of Rockstar's ambitions had been reduced from having four playable protagonists. However, the new game will still apparently feature two criminals that we'll be jumping into the shoes of.

According to the Bloomberg report unlike GTA 5's intentionally mismatched trio of outcasts GTA 6 will focus on two characters with a more intimate relationship. The pair are reportedly inspired by Bonnie and Clyde and one of the lead characters has been described as a Latina woman.

Now this of course is noteworthy as it's been. A long rumored that Rockstar would look to introduce a female playable character into the series and it seems like they finally pulled the trigger on that idea. The report didn't detail anything else about these characters though previous rumors from earlier.

This year did suggest that the game will feature both male and female playable criminals and that the pair would also be siblings. Whether that turns out to be true remains to be seen. However, for now we can at least begin to speculate what this so called a bunny and Clyde style pair will get up to in GTA 6.

3). Vice City Setting

Confirming another long time rumor that circulated for close to a decade now the Bloomberg report states that GTA6 will be set in Miami and quote unquote of the surrounding areas. This all but confirms the return of Vice City which was last seen in its 80s neon soaked glory in the PS2 game of the same name.

As mentioned Vice City's inclusion was taken as a foregone conclusion. I mean Rockstar's previous two installments reimagined key areas of the PS2 era namely Liberty City and San Andreas leaving only Vice City in need of a do-over like GTA 5's Los Santos though expect to see way more than just the locations featured in Vice City.

In this next game as the fictional version of Miami is no doubt going to be expanded upon massively with boroughs not seen or even possible to be seen on PS2 hardware of course other rumors from tom Henderson suggest that players will be seeing Vice City in the modern day as well as opposed to the 1980s seeing how this environment has changed across those decades in itself will be tantalizing and should make for an entirely different playground of opportunities.

2). Live Service Elements And (DLC Cities)

GTA Online is never going away the live service has made far too much money for it to be suddenly dropped in GTA 6 but what's interesting is that the multiplayer suite's ever evolving nature is seemingly being applied to the single player campaign of the next game.

The Bloomberg report noted that while GTA 6 will only feature the one city rather than the initially conceived three Rockstar has plans to add more to the game over time this was backed up again by tom Henderson to who explained that he heard from sources that the map would be ever evolving this expansion will hopefully make GTA 6 the most ambitious installment yet and serve as a way for the developers to realize their initial vision of the title over a longer period of time.

However, it is unclear whether this live service style sandbox is part of the sequel's multiplayer or single player component but he is hoping that it's both first great as GTA 5 was it was a major disappointment that the single-player experience received no substantial new content post-launch online shark cards might bring in the money but it would be a travesty for Rockstar to once again neglect this part of the game.

1). 2024-25 Release Date

The actual release date for GTA 6 has unsurprisingly been hotly contested over the past decade but the assumption has been that it'll drop around 2024 based on comments made by Rockstar's parent company take two though some were hoping for a surprise drop in 2023 that no longer looks like the case as developers speaking to Bloomberg said they anticipated court at least two more years of development taking the earliest release did up to the second half of 2024.

Of course we know how difficult video game development is and it wouldn't be a Rockstar release without some kind of delay so 2025 could be more likely either way take two wouldn't have confirmed the game after shrouding it in mystery for so long if it wasn't on the way and a launch in two or even three years time is much preferred two earlier rumors which suggested that the sequel wouldn't drop until deep into the second half of the 2020s.

So, that's our list I want to know what you guys think down in the comments below. What do you think about these GTA 6 details and are there any other rumored ones you wish would come true let us know.
